Lovely little park! We come here because they have bucket swings, and it's perfect for different ages with a big playground for 4+ and an area for crawling babies and older. Plenty of benches and tables to sit and have lunch, nurse or keep an eye on your children.
This is a nice shady Park which has an infants, toddlers and a 4-10 year old park. It has small sandpit and a water fountain for kids to play in. A large open field about the park where kids can pick acorns, play catch or soccer. It has a broad path that runs along the periphery which is great for kids on a scooter or if they're learning to cycle without training wheels. Street parking is available. Only drawback no restrooms and a water fountain that's easily accessible by kids.Dogs aren't allowed in the children's park. It does get pretty crowded.
Small but beautiful and nice place... Beautiful flower garden... Nice place have a stroll or bring your kids to play in the evening...
Beautiful park to enjoy in peace so long as you look Caucasian or are honorary white. If you are black, there will be an incident of racism, but still make sure to visit. Various incidents of racism with the same one or two white-presenting women. I was accused by a volunteeer of stealing roses for holding a rose on a day when everyone else (white or Asian) in the park was holding an identical rose. Roses were being handed out by the same volunteers for the event. Myriad other similar events towards me and other POC that I observed. If POC stop coming, however, these awful few women's ideoligies would win, so keep showing up and enjoy.
One of Brookline's nicer playground parks.
