The Brookline Reservoir is a beautiful, peaceful oasis with a well-maintained gravel path, many benches, and lovely trees and shrubs which flower through the spring and summer. There is also lots of interesting wildlife including muskrats, fish, different species of ducks, geese of course, sometimes other birds like herons and swans. It's a great place to walk your dog or pet other people's dogs.
Great for walks or jogs. Good place for Pokemon Go. The reservoir is stocked with fish. The path is packed clay, so wear appropriate shoes. There are no public restrooms. Lots of noise from the traffic on Rt. 9. Lots of benches for taking a break and watching the water.
Beautiful loop in Brookline. Everyone keeps to themselves. No public restroom that I've seen. Usually enough parking on the street. Other than Rt 9 nearby, it's a quiet area.
Great place for a stroll. Free street parking.
This reservoir has a walking path around it, with plenty of spots to cast a line for some fish. I don't believe I have ever seen one reeled in but it's a nice spot for in town recreation. You can easily walk to it from the brookline hills stop on the green line.
